I weave clay, wood and textiles together with my experiences as a woman, mother and artist to create large-scale installations. Through sculptures and textile pieces, I explore how women’s identities and sense of worth are shaped, inherited and challenged. I connect my personal experiences to the social systems that tell us what is valuable: productivity, success, visibility, sexuality, care and usefulness. At the heart of my practice is the question: what do I truly feel, think or am when I no longer allow the systems around me to define me?
